What is a reduced bore ball valve?

A reduced bore ball valve is a type of ball valve that the valve’s inside bore diameter is smaller than the pipe diameter, while the valve’s flange dimension is still match with the pipe diameter. The working requirement is that is a turbulence and fluid flow rate are not major concerns and where buildup of particles is not likely to occur, to avoid valve blockage.

With a smaller insider diameter, the valve housing and ball size are also smaller, so that the reduce bore ball valve occupy a smaller volume, which make it consumes a smaller space during installation. What’s more, the material for a smaller housing and ball charge a lower material cost, to affects the final products cost, to reduce the whole cost of the pipeline system.
